Medium-Term Graphical Trends Display

The Medium-Term Graphical Trends tab is found on in Medium-Term Viewer and is used by NEMforecast to clearly display NEMMCO's MT PASA data. As with any form of raw data, it is never clear what exactly that data is conveying when its simply presented in tabular form - hence, NEMforecast uses simple graphs to provide clarity for the data.

Displayed Data

The data displayed on the graphs is determined by the timeline found above the graph area. As mentioned in the description of the timeline and its components the data displayed on the graphs represents the range specified on the timeline. This range, denoted by the start and end markers on the control (as shown below) can be adjusted by dragging the appropriate "adjustment handle" (also shown below) in the desired direction.

The Data Series

NEMforecast separates the data into a number of individual data series on a per region basis (eg. Queensland has its own separate graph, as does the QLD-NSW interconnector) and allows each of the data series to be turned on or off on each region's graph. As can be seen in the screen capture below, the selection of the data series to be displayed for a particular region's graph is a simple as selecting/deselecting the checkbox beside that data series and each region graph has its own set of data series.

N-Up Graphs

NEMforecast also provides the ability to display mutilple region graphs at once. At present, it is possible to display 1 graph, 2 graphs or 4 graphs at once, each with their own data series display options (ie. they can all be displaying different data series). This is achieved using the highlighted controls shown below.
