The Geographic Display for Medium-Term Data

The Data

The data displayed on the geographic tab is determined by the day selected with the "point-in-time" selector mentioned in the description of the timeline and the timeline components. This selected day can be adjusted within the selected time range and when changed, the data displayed will be changed to suit.

The Display

The geographic display used for the medium-term viewer contains similar sections as the short-term viewer. The first section, although a map, does not display the temperature forecast data. Instead, it displays the electricity furtures pricing data privided by d-cyphaTrade for each of the 4 mainland regions of the NEM - Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

As with the Short-Term Viewer, the second section of the geographic display is the NEM diagram on the right (shown highlighted below). Here the forecasted state of each region in the NEM as well as the forecasted state of the interconnectors between each of those regions is shown.
