Deactivating your Licence

When you activate a licence to NEMforecast on your chosen PC, the licence is "locked" on our licencing server to prevent it being used elsewhere. If you want to move the licence to another PC, (or re-activate the licence on the current PC, such as when you have reformated) you will first need to de-activate that licence to "unlock" it on the licencing server.

There are two methods you can use to de-acivate your licence:

Method 1 - Deactivate through NEMforecast

Your licence can be deactivated through NEMforecast, at any time, and is the easiest and recommended option. To deactivate your licence through NEMforecast, follow these steps:

Step 1 - Open the About window

With the program open, go to Help -> About

Step 3 - Select "Deactivate My Licence"

Selecting this link will pop up a small dialog box asking you to confirm your decision. Selecting "Yes" will deactivate you licence and shutdown NEMforecast.

Step 4 - Licence Deactivated

Your Licence has been deactivated, and NEMforecast will shut down. Next time you run NEMforecast on this PC, it will prompt you to activate it with a licence.

Method 2 - Deactivate through Global-Roams Secure Site

Your licence can also be deactivated through our secure site. This allows you to deactive licences that may not have been deactivated properly because a computer was re-formatted, or other issue, which prevents deactivation through the NEMforecast program itself.

The Steps below will deactivate a licence through our licence management system.

Step 1 - Enter the Secure Site

Enter the secure site using your gr-ID infomation

Step 2 - Go to the My Licences Section

Click the My Licences button to view all licences you currently hold. Selecting a licence will display general infomation about that licence, such as the product it runs, the date of expiry, and the date of activation.

Step 3 - Deactivate the Licence

Select the licence you wish to deactivate and click the De-Activate button. You will notice the licence will now display "Not Activated" in the Activation field.
