SQL Server Installation

We recommend that you contact you IT Administrator to find out if you already have SQL Server installed on your network or so that they can advise which SQL Server product they would prefer you to use. For NEMforecast to work, you will need any version of SQL Server Express/Standard/Enterprise 2005 (or later):

Once you have chosen your version, and have a working copy of SQL Server available, you will need to create a new database (call it what you like, but we name ours NEMforecast). This database will be used by both NEMforecast and the NEMforecastUpdater to store and retrieve data. Also take note of any specific username and password that is required by you SQL Server.

With the new database setup on your SQL Server you can now continue with step 2 of the installation process.
